Active Life Club , Sat football session. Hats off to the coaches and volunteers for creating a fun filled football for more than hundred young people. We run football on Sat 12 to 2pm at Toryglen Regional Football Centre , Sun Badminton 11 to 1pm and Cricket 1 to 2pm at Glasgow Club Gorbals. We are incredibly proud that Active Life Club (ALC) has been HIGHLY COMMENDED in the Sport Award at the Herald & Glasgow Chamber of Commerce Inspiring City Awards 2026.

For a grassroots organisation, being recognised alongside organisations connected with Commonwealth Games 2026, Glasgow Life and Scotland’s sporting future is a remarkable achievement.

But our greatest achievement has never been a trophy. It is the people.

⚽ Young people finding confidence.
🌱 Volunteers becoming leaders.
💪 Women and girls breaking barriers.

🌟 Young people becoming future leaders and active citizens.

For 27 years, we have used sport as a medium for opportunity, inclusion and social change — challenging barriers and creating pathways for people who are too often overlooked.

This recognition belongs to every young person, volunteer, coach, parent, partner and supporter who has been part of the ALC journey.
