A huge thank you to Mary and Robert at Elder's Bar in Tollcross, for hosting a fantastic fundraiser in support of Marie Curie. They donated an incredible £3,332.53. ✨

As one of the area's best-loved bars, Elders is well known for its warm welcome and great atmosphere, making it the perfect place for bringing the community together. 💛

Thanks to their hard work and the support of their loyal customers and friends, an amazing amount was raised to help us continue provide expert care and support for local people living with a terminal illness and their families. We are so grateful to everyone who donated, attended and helped make the event such a success.

A huge thank you to Richard, Lynn and everyone at Morrisons in Crossmyloof for welcoming us to your fantastic Paint It Yellow Relay Day as part of the official partnership with Marie Curie. 💛

It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, with colleagues and customers coming together through a sponsored cycle challenge and raffle to raise vital funds. They even arranged a taxi to ensure the baton reached it's next store in style.

Partnerships like this make a real difference, not only to fundraise but also help raise awareness of Marie Curie’s services within local communities, bringing people together to support a cause that touches so many lives.

Last week our Community Fundraiser Erin was presented with a cheque of £3,667 from the Kearney family! 🎉

They and their friends have done an incredible job fundraising recently in loving memory of Alice, who was cared for at the hospice earlier this year.

Erin was invited to their Line Dancing Coffee Morning recently, and had a brilliant time with the family and their friends. Thank you for your wonderful support! 💛

We are incredibly grateful to Billy and Bunty for their wonderful donation of £1,100, raised through their Celebratory Giving in honour of their 50th wedding anniversary.

As one of the charities they chose to benefit from this very special milestone, we are truly touched by their generosity and kindness. Their support will help Marie Curie continue to provide expert care and support to people living with a terminal illness and their families.

A huge thank you to the Kearney family and their friends, who brought people together for such a fantastic line dancing and coffee morning in loving memory of Alice, who was cared for at the hospice. Together they have raised an incredible £3,667. ✨

We truly wouldn’t be here without families like the Kearneys, whose generosity helps us continue to be there for those in the community who need our help.

Sisters Serena and Tasha, whose dad was cared for by Marie Curie at the end of his life, joined us at the Superdrug X Marie Curie Pop-Up Nail Bar.

While getting their nails done by celebrity nail artist, Shea, they opened up about their personal experiences. Marie Curie's Clinical Nurse Lead, Lynn, was also on hand to share practical guidance and support, helping to create a relaxed and welcoming environment.

There are now slots available in Glasgow for a free manicure, along with the opportunity to chat with a Marie Curie colleague and gain helpful tips, guidance, and conversation starters to help you approach conversations about end of life.

Applications for our charity places in next year's event will close this Friday 31st July.

Being part of , you have a chance to help people living with terminal illness and their loved ones.

We'll help you get to that finish line with a dedicated fundraising team, access to training support, and the loudest, proudest cheer stations on Race Day 💛

🏅🌍 Glasgow Hospice Commonwealth Games 2026 🌍🏅

To celebrate this year's Games in Glasgow, across 3 days we brought together patients, families, volunteers and staff at our hospice for a few afternoons of fun, smiles and (somewhat) friendly competition!

Important events like these encourage connection and companionship at our hospice, bringing joy to patients and their loved ones. A huge thank you to Gwen and all our incredible nursing staff, doctors, admin team and housekeeping service teams for their enthusiasm and dedication in making the week a success.

We would also like to thank all of the patients and families who joined in and embraced the events with positivity and team spirit.

We were delighted to see everyone who came along and are so grateful for your support of our hospice. 💛

We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to join the Marie Curie Ayrshire Fundraising Group. Whether you can help at events, run a collection, collect donations, or support our annual Ayrshire Lunch, your time can help us raise vital funds for people living with a terminal illness and their families. 🥰

No fundraising experience is needed—just a willingness to get involved, meet new people and have fun while supporting an incredible cause.

On Saturday we joined in at Glasgow Pride. 🏳️‍🌈

As a charity, we proudly celebrate love, acceptance and community. We were delighted to be part of this incredible day, even receiving cheers, smiles and waves as we walked with the march, a signal of the connection between Marie Curie and those we been able to support in our city. A huge thank you to the organisers and fellow marchers who warmly welcomed us and put on a colourful display all day.
