This weekend, units from across Girlguiding Glasgow are heading off to The Big Gig, and we want to wish every member and volunteer an amazing time!

We hope you enjoy every moment, make fantastic memories, meet new friends, sing your heart out, and take advantage of all the incredible opportunities that come with this unique experience. 🌟

A huge thank you to the leaders and volunteers who have worked so hard to make this adventure possible.

✨ GGS One Team 2026 — what a weekend!

What a brilliant couple days of friendship, laughter, learning and connection at the Girlguiding Scotland conference! 💙💛❤️💚

From inspiring learning and new ideas, to plenty of laughter, games and those all-important chats over a cuppa ☕️ — it was great to spend time with so many amazing volunteers from across Girlguiding Scotland.

And, of course, we couldn’t leave without our One Team badges and lanyards to remind us of a weekend built around connecting, supporting and growing together. 🌟

Feeling very grateful for the people, the conversations, the learning and the memories. 💙

📌 Resources to support inclusion

As National Inclusion Week continues, we're highlighting some of the resources and activities available to help make Girlguiding welcoming and inclusive for everyone.

Girlguiding has a range of practical resources to support girls and volunteers, including adjustment plans, wellbeing plans and visual timetable cards, helping units make adjustments based on individual needs.

Here in Girlguiding Glasgow, units can also borrow sensory bags, containing sensory toys, headphones and emotion cards to help support members who may benefit from them.

Inclusion can be explored through unit activities too. Girlguiding has inclusion-focused activities and challenge badges, while Girlguiding Beaconsfield's Minds of Every Kind challenge pack includes activities designed to help girls learn about neurodiversity.

💙 It's National Inclusion Week!

At Girlguiding Glasgow, we want every girl to have the opportunity to take part, feel welcome, and enjoy everything Girlguiding has to offer.

⭐️ Looking for a new volunteering opportunity?

Join Girlguiding Glasgow at the Volunteering Fair on Tuesday 15 September, 10am to 1pm, at Glasgow City Chambers.

Meet local organisations, learn about volunteering opportunities across Glasgow, and speak directly with volunteer coordinators. The volunteer Glasgow team will also be there to answer questions and help you get started.

🏐 Members of the 354th Glasgow Ranger Unit, Tollcross/Shettleston Rangers, and 240th Guides recently enjoyed an unforgettable day at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games netball semi-final.

Our girls and Leaders had an amazing time representing Girlguiding Glasgow County on behalf of the Netball Leading Women Programme this past Saturday.

The day kicked off with a delicious breakfast at the Radisson RED before heading to the Royal Box for an unforgettable match-day experience.

A huge well done to everyone involved for being such brilliant ambassadors for our County. We’re so proud of you all! ⭐
