We had an amazing time at Subzero this weekend!

A huge thanks to the district for organising! Another great opportunity for our young people to meet cubs from other groups.

- Did you know Scouts shake hands with their left hand?

All around the world, Scouts and Guides greet each other with the left-handed handshake. The tradition takes inspiration from the Ashanti warriors of West Africa.

When Lord Robert Baden‑Powell met them, they explained their customary greeting to shake hands with the left hand, you must lower your shield - the very thing that protects you - and extend the hand closest to your heart. ❤️

Scouts and Guides still honour that tradition today. 🌍✨
