The Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity group is expanding its network to provide enhanced support and resources for families of children undergoing treatment in hospital in Glasgow.

Through substantial funding from Alison and Steve Timoney, Crossbasket House (formerly known as Ronald McDonald House Glasgow) will provide on-site accommodations and wraparound support services, including emotional, financial and practical support to hospital families when they need it most.

Since 2001, Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity has invested over £45 million in support services and improvements at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow and its related maternity, neonatal and paediatric facilities across the West of Scotland.

“Many families with critically ill children travel from remote parts of Scotland, facing weeks or months of uncertainty in the hospital,” said Kirsten Watson, CEO, Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. “Crossbasket House will be a lifeline for countless parents and caregivers in the years to come. We are truly grateful to Alison and Steve Timoney for their remarkable donation and unwavering commitment to our children and their families.”

Hello everyone.

So we haven’t updated this page for a few months now as there has been alot of personal stuff going on at home but we are fast approaching that time of the year again.

As you know our little family like to collect selection boxes to donate to Ronald McDonald house Glasgow and Wishaw children’s ward at Christmas time. This year is no different we will be continuing to collect these as a family but kalebs health has had a major update and we are looking at having another stay within the house this year.

Long story short back in June we were given the news that was not expected until kaleb was atleast 8/10 years old.

Unfortunately after kaleb 1st successful surgery there has been a rapid growth in him and around his heart and he will have to undergo another life saving operation of heart surgery. We were told that this had to happened within 3 months and as that time has now passed we are patiently waiting on a phone call for the day he needs to go in.

Due to these reason I am doing a shout out to anyone who would like to donate that I’m at officially taking donations.

Wherever my family will be at Christmas time I made a promise to not let the house down and I don’t intend to. If anyone would like to help us out with donation then please feel free to message.

Again massive thank you to everyone who supports us ❤️‍🩹
