The Scottish Black Members Committee (SBMC) is absolutely delighted to congratulate our committee member Kay McKerrell on her election to the UNISON National Executive Council (NEC).

This is a fantastic achievement and an important moment for representation within our union. A truly progressive union must ensure that diverse voices are not simply heard but are present at every level where decisions are made.

SBMC and Migrant Worker leads with leadership development course participants in Aberdeen and Glasgow over the last month.

We had a productive and positive SBMC meeting with all committee members in attendance. It was encouraging to hear reports from each member on their valuable contributions across our various committees. 👏
We are delighted to share that our Action Plan is progressing well and remains firmly on track. This is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and commitment of our team. 💪
