Well done to our friends at 2nd Cumbernauld Boys’ Brigade. Great to see a team from Cumbernauld Trinity Parish Church winning this again! 👏

After a very close competition in this years Junior Section figure marching, a massive congratulations to 2nd Cumbernauld who have managed to win this competition for a 4th consecutive year! 🏆

Can they go on to win it again or will we have a new name on the trophy in 2027? Next up we have our Squad Drill competition running over the next few weeks.

Good Luck to everyone involved!

We’re sure many of you will have noticed that we haven’t run our Christmas Bags for the Homeless Appeal this year.

For various reasons, chief among them the difficulty of making sure the bags get to the genuinely needy, we decided to put it on hold this year, although we may be back next year.

However, our homeless population are just as much in need as ever. If you’d like to make a donation to support them, we’d recommend considering the Social Bite Festival of Kindness. Just £28 will buy someone in need a Christmas of Kindness, while you can donate whatever amount you can afford:

https://www.social-bite.co.uk/festival-of-kindness/

We’re sure any donation will be gratefully received! 🎅🏻☃️🎄

A new ministry for Cumbernauld Trinity.
As we look forward to the induction of James Gemmell as the first minister of the new charge of Cumbernauld Trinity on Thursday, it is customary for a minister to be 'preached in' to a new charge by another minister. So, the service next Sunday (26th October) will be led by Rev James (Jim) Gemmell, Minister at Carnwadric Parish Church, Glasgow, and Dad to our new Minister James.
Please join us as we look forward to welcoming James and his family to Cumbernauld Trinity next week.

Sadly, our friends at 2nd Cumbernauld Boys’ Brigade have lost their meeting place and all of their equipment in the recent fire at St Mungo’s Hub.

They’re fundraising to replace what they have lost, as they work on arranging a meeting place for the new session. If anyone is able to consider supporting them, we’re sure your donation would be gratefully received:

We’re devastated to see the news from yesterday evening about a fire having substantially destroyed St Mungo’s Parish Church.

Our Boys’ Brigade Company has been part of Cumbernauld Old Parish Church since our formation in 1904. More recently, we have come together with the congregations at Kildrum and St Mungo’s to form Cumbernauld Trinity Parish Church, also bringing us into the same congregation as the 2nd Cumbernauld Boys’ Brigade.

Please join us in keeping the congregation of Cumbernauld Trinity in your thoughts and prayers and, in particular, those mourning the loss of a building which holds memories for many in our community.

The church is not a building,
the church is not a steeple,
the church is not a resting place,
the church is a people.

Three fire engines remain on the scene of the blaze, which took hold of the church building on Saturday evening.

Great to see our Company Section Leader, Oliver Stewart, attending the second year of his KGVI course at Carronvale House!

Well done Oliver, keep up the good work and enjoy the experience! 👏

This week our KGVI Youth Leader Training course, aimed at young leaders aged 17-21, is taking place at Carronvale House in Larbert 🙌 It was wonderful to welcome along Rt Rev Rosemary Frew, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, to the course this evening!
