We had a brilliant Auld Friends session with Lil Brookes exploring the story behind the Paisley pattern – right here from our hometown!

From its origins in India to Paisley’s famous weaving history, it was amazing to learn how far this iconic design has travelled 🌍

Lil brought along a beautiful saree (which our Debs modelled perfectly! 😉), and we finished with a relaxing mindfulness colouring activity inspired by the pattern.

💜 A lovely afternoon of learning, creativity and great company!

🌿 Auld Friends Visit to Barshaw Community Garden & Peace Garden 🌿

We had a lovely day out at the Community Garden and Peace Garden in Barshaw Park! ☀️

A big thank you to Alice from Friends of Barshaw, who shared lots of interesting history and told us all about how the gardens were created and cared for by volunteers 🌸

We enjoyed relaxing at the picnic benches, great company, and tasty food and drinks—kindly funded by the Winter Connections Grant 💚

We even managed to snap some lovely photos… after asking the resident robin nicely for permission! 🐦📸

A brilliant day all round, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!
