On the 18th May, the Gerrards Cross/ South Wombles litter pick took over Gerrards Cross, armed with litter pickers, bags and plenty of community spirit! 🧹♻️

We were delighted to be joined by 28 enthusiastic Year 8 students, their teachers Sean and Laura from Thorpe House School, alongside the Mayor of Gerrards Cross, Councillor Celia Stuart-Lee, and our brilliant GXCV volunteers for a town wide tidy up.

Together, our amazing volunteers covered the entire town, including both Commons, the A40 and Windsor Road — proving that no stray crisp packet stood a chance! 🍃

A huge thank you to everyone who gave up their time to help keep Gerrards Cross looking its best. Your hard work, enthusiasm and community spirit are hugely appreciated!👏

🎉 We are delighted to announce the appointment of Councillor Celia Stuart-Lee as the new Mayor of Gerrards Cross Town Council! 🎉

On behalf of the Councillors and staff, we warmly congratulate Councillor Stuart-Lee on her appointment and look forward to seeing all that she will achieve over the next two years, working closely with our community to continue strengthening, supporting and building our wonderful town.

A message from the Mayor:

“It is an honour to be elected as the new Mayor of Gerrards Cross. Having grown up here, I returned in 2010 to find that my village had become a town. My father, Cyril Hogarth, was Chairman of the Parish Council for several years, and it is lovely to be following in his footsteps albeit with a different title. We have a great team of Councillors – twelve volunteers who generously give up a lot of their time to do their bit for Gerrards Cross. This includes making the best use of our precept money, scrutinising planning applications, looking after the Commons and the Camp, organising community events, looking after roads and streetlights, maintaining CCTV cameras and a host of other things. There is nothing glamorous about these activities, but I think that all the Councillors gain a sense of satisfaction from helping to make Gerrards Cross a good place in which to live.”

Community Litter Pick – A Big Success! 🌿
A huge thank you to everyone who joined our litter pick yesterday. Your time, energy, and community spirit made a real difference. Together we collected a fantastic amount of rubbish and helped keep our town looking clean, welcoming, and cared for.
It’s always inspiring to see residents come together to look after the place we all call home. More community events are on the way, with the next litter pick planned for Monday 9th February 2026 and we’d love to see you there.
👏 Thank you to all our volunteers!
