Dearest crafters, we hope you've had a lovely year, and if you didn't, we hope next year is better.
I'm back to share some of our clever makers and their creations.
Tess is one of our new board members and kicked off our show and tell with a peg weaving she did yeas ago at Sherwood forest, and a bead woven needle case.
Glennis was next up with her beautiful hand embroiered four seasons blanket, mad with her mum.
Dianne dug through her button stash and made this lovely Christmas tree decoration.
Daiga knitted a fantastic hat with a glow in the dark pattern and upcycled jewelry to give it a goth edge.
She was also wearing her Maja Cardigan, knitted in Icelandic yarn.
AND! She was knitting the most sparkly, most festive jumpers my eyes have ever seen. An absolute joy.
Nadia
Showed us her chaos socks, using leftover sock yarn
Patricia, using a cashmere jumper from Paula, upcycled it to wet felted and needle felted a book cover! She is getting a head star for our 2026 annual guild challenge of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
Chris uand felted this beautiful candle holder at Patricia's Felting Without Flooding workshop and has also felted cushion for it to sit upon.
Trudy, another of our three new board members, wove a beautiful white silk scarf and then wove a cushion cover, dyed in weld and then over dyed with indigo.
Claire showed us a festive project I cannot wait to try; a crochet bauble! She has made three so far and they look lovely in variagted yarn and sparkly threads.
Rachel showed us her button Christmas tree, our Christmas activity this year.
And Aurélie shone in her Love Note sweater, posca pen coloured in shoes, and rehomed jeans, complete with appliqué patches, another two examples reducing, reusing and recycling!
Have a lovely Christmas and happy winter holidays to all who celebrate. We'll see you in the new year for our broth-all (soup fuddle) and remember to get destashing, ready for our January table top sale! As our Sarah says, one person's trash is another one's treasure.
