Yoga in Daily Life Scotland

Yoga in Daily Life Scotland YOGA IN DAILY LIFE - The System is based on the ancient wisdom of yoga, adapted to meet the needs of modern life.

Yoga in Daily Life Scotland is a registered charity offering online and in person classes, courses, workshops and retreats in yoga, meditation, pranayama, relaxation in Scotland and beyond. Not limited to the physically fit and able, it is practised by people of all ages and states of health. Classes incorporate deep relaxation (yoga nidra) and systematic progression of physical postures (asanas),

breathing techniques (pranayama), self-inquiry meditation, and practical principles from traditional yoga philosophy, to foster greater health, happiness and self-confidence. Since 2007 we have been dedicated to sharing the benefits of yoga and meditation with the Scottish community, offering casual drop-in classes, courses, satsangs, workshops, seminars and retreats; plus tailored classes for private individuals, as well as corporate and community groups.

🟢Cooking inspiration from Yoga in Daily Life
🌟Mung Bean Pakora🌟
Mung bean pakoras are delicious and an easy way to get your daily dose of protein. They are gluten-free and full of flavour. Pakoras are perfect as a snack or side dish and can be served with a variety of dipping sauces.
To prepare pakoras, you will need 1 cup of skinned mung beans, a handful of parsley or green coriander leaves, 5 tablespoons of oil for frying and spices for seasoning: turmeric, ground coriander and cumin, chilli powder, paprika, asafoetida.
Soak the mung beans in plenty of water for a few hours. Wash and drain. Transfer to a bowl and add a teaspoon of salt, a teaspoon of ground coriander, a teaspoon of ground cumin, a teaspoon of turmeric, a teaspoon of paprika, a pinch of asafoetida and half a teaspoon of chilli. Mix everything well. Chop coarsely with a hand blender. If the mixture is finely blended, it will be easier to form the fritters, but they will be less crunchy. Add chopped parsley or coriander to the mixture.
Take one heaping tablespoon of the mixture and form a small fritter. Place 10 fritters on baking paper. Cover the surface of the frying pan with oil and heat it. Carefully transfer them into the pan and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Enjoy your delicious and healthy mung bean pakoras!❤️
