🌟 Who is your Borders sporting hero? 🌟

The 2027 Mountain Bike World Championships have just started in Italy, with Borders athletes competing on the world stage. Two Borders riders are also battling through the tough conditions of La Vuelta a España, while excitement continues to build ahead of the Tour de France arriving in the Borders next year.

But great sporting stories are happening much closer to home too.

🇬🇧 Neil Dewar training for the Invictus Games
🥊 Lara Brown representing Team Scotland boxing at the Commonwealth Games
🏉 Darcy Graham becoming Scotland's all-time leading try scorer

And that's just the start of what is happening in Eildon. Across swimming, hockey, gymnastics, bowls, athletics, cycling and many more sports, people throughout the Borders are achieving amazing things every day.

🏆 Help us celebrate those achievements by nominating your local sporting heroes for the 2026 ClubSport Eildon Awards.

This track opening is the result of our first community sports hub facility project. Capitalising on funding from the 2023 Cycling World Championships a club, facility and strong community links were established. With Just Cycle, Tweedbank Primary School and now in such close association the future is bright, the future is oval. 😜
