A brilliant afternoon at The Pavilion Cinema in Galashiels for our BANG Sensory-Friendly Cinema Outing 🎬

Our Wee Branches Team welcomed 100 attendees to watch Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom in a relaxed, sensory-friendly cinema environment.

🌱 Calling all gardeners!

We have the space. We have the volunteers. Now we’re looking for some gardening expertise to help us bring the Focus Centre community garden back to life!

We’d love to connect with local gardeners, gardening groups or anyone with green-fingered knowledge who might be interested in getting involved.

🎃 Wee Branches Halloween Party! 👻

We’re getting spooky at Wee Branches this October with a Halloween afternoon for our under 11s and their families!

Come along for some Halloween fun in our usual relaxed, inclusive Wee Branches space. Costumes are very welcome, but absolutely not essential.

📅 Saturday 24th October
⏰ 2–4pm
📍 Focus Centre, Galashiels
💜 £2 suggested donation per child

Siblings are welcome too, and parents/carers stay throughout to support and supervise their children.

No booking needed – just come along! 🎃👻

Borders Disability Sport are pleased to be working with Live Borders to provide a Family Disability Swim Session at Selkirk Leisure Centre.
An instructor will be in the pool to provide support and encouragement throughout the session. Individuals are expected to be in the pool with a parent, guardian or carer.

Experience a Relaxed Movie Outing at The Pavilion Galashiles

Our Branching Together group in Galashiels has plenty happening throughout October ☕️

The group is a relaxed, non-judgemental space for parent carers to meet others who understand, share experiences and connect with local services over a cuppa. There’s no expectation to attend every week – just come along when it works for you.

We’re starting the month with Bacon and Egg Roll Friday, alongside a visit from Louise Henry-McLeman from the Transition Social Work Team, who’ll be coming along to hear parents’ views.

We’ll also be joined by Sharon Guest from Stable Life to share more about their service, followed later in the month by Scottish Autism parent training on supporting stress and wellbeing and a visit from Sustainable Borders.

On every Friday from 10am–12pm at The Focus Centre, Livingston Place - Please note, there will be no group on Friday 16th October due to the school holidays.

Open to parent carers of neurodivergent children and young people, or those with additional support needs. No formal diagnosis is required – just come along!
