This is an Invitation to represent Team Borders in the East District XC League on Saturday 31st October 2026 at Kirkcaldy. Please read the following information carefully.

For those of you who are new to cross-country racing (or those who need reminding), in the East District XC League the junior runners combine with the other Borders clubs (apart from Teviotdale) to run under the banner ofTeam Borders, same as we do in the summer in the Forth Valley League. But for the cross-country league,
Please note we will be adopting the new age categories: U12, U14, U16 and U18
Any number of runners can take part with the first three to count.

Congratulations to all our young athletes for their fantastic efforts and achievements. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
Trophies were presented for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places across all age groups boys' and girls' categories, and every participant received a certificate in recognition of their hard work and dedication.
A huge well done to everyone who took part, and thank you to our coaches, volunteers and families for their continued support.

Thank you to everyone who has signed up for today’s Club Championships at Tweedbank, and a huge thank you to all of our volunteers for their support.

Registration from 11:30am

All athletes will take part in the 100m sprints, starting at 12:00 noon. Once the sprints are complete, field events will begin at approximately 12:25 pm.
Field Events Athletes will be divided into four groups: Red, Blue, Green, and Purple. Each group will have a designated chaperone who will ensure athletes move smoothly between events and stay on schedule.
Chaperones will also assist the event teams throughout the afternoon.
Field events will pause at 2:00 pm for the 800m races, including the senior race.

We look forward to a fantastic afternoon and wish all athletes the very best of luck! 🍀🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Henderson Handicap Double Delivers Thrilling Finish
Mild sunshine and perfect late-September conditions greeted runners for this year’s Henderson race, with competitors facing a unique two-part handicap challenge.
The action began with Part 1, a closed mile handicap, where 23 runners took to the track.
With the track race completed, attention quickly turned to Part 2, an approximately 4km open handicap run along the riverside. The scenic route provided a contrasting challenge. A substantial handicap spread of 13 minutes 30 seconds separated the first and last starters, yet as the race unfolded that gap steadily disappeared. Well done to all the runners taking part and a big thank you to all the marshals and timekeepers with special thanks to Charlotte Hendry for bringing everything together. Also, a big thank you to Tempest for the prizes.
