It is located in the rural village of Fyvie, around 25 miles to the North West of Aberdeen. Fyvie Guide House is available for use by Guiding Groups and outside groups of all ages. The accom

modation sleeps up to 26 people and is available to groups on a self-catering basis. The accommodation comprises of :

A National Trust Card for Fyvie Castle can be made available on request. We are constantly working to improve our facilities having upgraded the toilet block, refurbished the upstairs rooms and installed a pellet stove. We are currently working to raise money to renovate and extend kitchen and dining room. Please contact us for further details and costs

We raised £903.91 at the Buttery Morning for Fyvie Guide House yesterday and the winner of the Lucky Squares was Dana Rosie. Many thanks to all of you who donated and came along! Thanks also to everyone on the Fyvie Guide House fundraising committee and at the United Reformed Church, who did a power of work for us yesterday!

Special thanks to Wilma Sinclair who has decided to step down from the Committee for all her efforts over the years! There’s always room for more volunteers to join us so please speak to Laraine Thomson if you’re interested! 😊

🙂 Our recent Open Day was a great success.

We welcomed lots of visitors who enjoyed seeing our completed renovations and having a tasty flycup.

Total donations received were £312.

Ian Moir, one of our building contractors attended and cut the ribbon.

Ian and Colin Campbell were presented with a small token of appreciation for all their hard work on the project.

Our chairperson Morag presented caretaker Mike, who has recently retired with a bottle of whisky and a gift token.

Thanks to Mike for all his help over the last nine years, it is greatly appreciated.

AFC signed and framed shirt lucky numbers fundraiser in aid of Fyvie Guide House which was donated by Sonomatic.

Congratulations to Thelma Smith who had number 58,she has won the AFC signed shirt. The fundraiser was drawn using an online random number generator by a member of Newburgh Guides in Gordon. An amazing £300 was raised and will support the ongoing work at Fyvie Guide House. Thank you to everyone who entered the competition in Banff and Buchan and Gordon.
