and planning in the moment we offer an exciting, inspiring and challenging experience for children starting their educational journey. We provide a caring, happy and secure environment. All our children are made to feel special and learn through play, fun and friendship, enabling them to start school with confidence. From the term after a child’s third birthday there are up to 15 hours of government funding available. In some cases younger children from age two and a half may be eligible for funding, however, this is subject to specific criteria and the manager’s/ committee approval. The staff at Domino are dedicated, caring individuals who value the uniqueness of each child regardless of sex, race or academic ability. Sarah, the Manager and her team work hard every week to create a stimulating and varied play setting in which the children are learning through their play. Parents are kept up to date with their child’s activities with a daily white board outside the setting and a weekly newsletter sent out on email. Domino Pre-school is a registered charity and, as such, is assisted by a committee of past and present parents and carers. The committee meets twice every term to discuss how to progress the pre-school through fundraising, events, experiences for the children as well as management of finances and staffing. In line with safeguarding regulations, any new committee member undergoes a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and is approved by Ofsted.
