Fulbourn and Teversham are recruiting for a Volunteer Organiser to help with this years Poppy Appeal.
The role has 2 key elements;
i) co-ordination of collecting boxes to local shops & organisations
ii) liaison and organisation of volunteers at Fulbourn Tesco.
The role can be split if you are interested in helping with just one of these and our committee will be there to support you for both.
And there will be no requirement for counting of the collection boxes as this is kindly undertaken by Tesco and Cambridge Building Society.
So if you are interested in joining us to make a real difference in your community then please send us a DM or email Lucy (Cambridgeshire Poppy Appeal Manager) at [email protected] for more details.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Today, the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) ArmedForcesNetwork came together at the Fulbourn Hospital site to honour Private John E. Gibbons, a First World War soldier who passed away on this day in 1918.

Private Gibbons was transferred to Fulbourn Hospital on 2 December 1918, but sadly died only two days after admission. His Commonwealth War Graves Commission headstone still stands here on the hospital grounds, a quiet reminder of his service and of the many others who served and now rest without recognition.

The newest Armed Forces Network member, Rory Butler, a former RAF Regiment soldier, laid a wreath on behalf of the Network, representing their continued commitment to honouring and supporting those who serve. The wreath joined two which were placed on Remembrance Day, including one from our branch.
