Frome Town Rotary [email protected] Frome Town Rotary is a relatively new club, compared to the other more established Frome and Selwood Rotary clubs.

Frome Town Rotary is a social group who want to have some fun and put something back into the community we meet at 7:30pm on the first and third Tuesday of each month. We came together in 2018, and over the past 4 years, we have grown both in number and confidence. Our club welcomes women and men, who are interested in volunteering, helping local charities and causes, and above all want to meet so

me interesting people and have fun. We meet in Frome on the first and third Tuesdays in the month ( evenings). The business meetings are informal and open to anyone who thinks they may like to join our club. Usually, the other monthly meeting involves an activity, or a walk/meal. We came, we saw and once again, we conquered. For the 3rd year in a row, against stiff competition from Midsomer Norton and Radstock Rotary club ( and friends) FTR won the coveted Croquet cup.

As always, it’s not just about winning, it’s about forging friendships and having a really good time, not to mention enjoying some fantastic food cooked and served by the Peasedown Croquet club members.

Yet another busy weekend for Frome Town Rotary

On Saturday several members served afternoon teas, sold raffle and tombola tickets and generally made themselves useful in aid of Dorothy House hospice and the RUH Cancer until. The sun shone all afternoon and everyone, members and visitors alike, had a really great afternoon hosted by club members Becky and Greg Bird.

On Sunday we were out again ( some of us at 8am!!) setting up for the very popular Children’s Festival and helping with the many amazing events organised by Purple Elephant. Back again at 2pm to pack away ( always quicker than putting up!). Happy to help ensure another great day out for families, friends and children in Frome.
