Anyone who's anyone at all....is invited to the King of Fools!

Frome! We are coming to the Merlin Theatre this Thursday for the gala performance of the Frome Festival. And I believe you get a glass of bubbly on arrival. 🥂

It premiered last year at The Merlin Theatre to great acclaim and we are bringing it back for our final day of our West Country tour!

Will Sommers finds the job of keeping Henry the Eighth amused almost impossible as the royal divorce goes through interminable delays. Will discovers a young barmaid called Jane in a Cheapside Tavern, entertaining the regulars. He thinks Jane could be the ideal companion and female jester for Anne Boleyn.

Will presents her at court as “Jane Fool,” and she becomes an instant success. He has also secretly fallen in love with her. Thomas Cromwell, however, sees Jane as the perfect stooge to enact Anne’s downfall.

“Funny, clever and brilliantly performed.”
“Splendid book, music, singing, dancing, and acting”

We came, we set up, we stayed in a castle and we left...

Sadly we had to cancel last night's performance in St Ives due to cast illness.

We would like to thank St Ives Theatre for all their help and support with the show, and we are sorry to have not been able to perform.
..However our remaining cast had a lovely weekend away in St Ives and we wish the guys that weren't well a speedy recovery ❤️

We will all come back fighting after a week of rest, ready for our show in Frome!

❤️ Lots of love to our team, they have really worked hard this week ❤️
