About Lisa’s Army

After raising money to help her daughters as they grow up without her, Lisa Wells turned her mind to helping others who find themselves in a similar situation to herself. She set about creating Lisa’s Army UK Ltd, a non-profit Community Interest Company, which is currently in the process of converting into a registered charity. The charity’s aim is to help local people who have been diagnosed with cancer by providing experiences, the means to make memories with their loved ones or in other ways to bring these peoples’ smiles back.

So far, we have held a family fun day, raffles, cake sales and a gala ball. We have also developed links with local companies and received generous donations to raise more than £15,000.00. 2020 will be a busy year for Lisa’s Army, with lots of events planned, including a sponsored cycle from Frome to Chateau Gontier in France, gala ball and many more events.

In the coming months, we will be opening up for applications from those who wish to benefit from the funds raised and the board of trustees and members committee are excited to begin helping people.
