We’re a little bit overdue with sharing these photos from our ‘Food, Folk and Fire’ event we ran in July, but it’s never too late to remind ourselves what a lovely gathering that was!

We harvested food from the land and, together, chopped, grated, squeezed, sliced, whizzed the produce to make a delicious two-course meal. This ultra-local, organic and seasonal feast was a reminder of how much we depend on the land to sustain and nourish us 🫛🥬🧄

If you’ve missed on this event, don’t worry. We have another one coming up on Saturday, 3rd October, so join us then for another gorgeous meal and an opportunity to connect with others. We’ll be pressing apples then too, so bring a bottle or two to take it home 🍎 🍏 🍎

It might feel like the summer is slowly giving its way to autumn and we are ready for this shift 🍁🍂
After an abundant and busy summer, we’re ready to pause and slow down and we hope our programme reflects just that.

Join us for nature walks and slower, more mindful sessions as we enter this quieter season ✨

As always, we have free and low cost tickets available, so if cost is ever a barrier, choose a ticket that is right for you. You can find out more in our bio or on our website 👆

We can’t wait to welcome you around the fire 💚

We can’t quite believe that the second cohort of our market gardening programme is over! It’s been a brilliant couple of weeks and we loved how engaged, curious and enthusiastic our participants were.

From learning about natural fertilisers, to harvesting produce, our programme covered all the essential aspects of growing organic food as a business.

Thank you to our amazing and curious students. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours 🪱 🪏 🌱

Our last cohort begins in two-weeks-time and we can’t wait to meet them! The programme is now full, but if you wish, you can add your name onto our waiting list. Simply email Lucy at: [email protected]

Project supported by Somerset Community Foundation.

It might feel like the summer is slowly giving its way to autumn, but the garden is still full of life 🐛 🌺 🦔

If you’d like to witness this abundance yourself, why not join us for our volunteering sessions?

Simply turn up and stay for food and if you feel like it, join in later for a dance, movement, jam or whatever might be happening that afternoon!

Or, if you’d like, just turn up for lunch and a boogie and leave a donation if you prefer to support our project in that way.

There will be veg on sale so bring cash if you’d like to stock up on some delicious organic produce 🫛🥬🧄

We hope to see you there 💚

We loved having you with us last Thursday for our ultimate session of this summer ☀️

We harvested herbs from the garden and turned those into healing concoctions. Using herbs macerated in organic oils we made lip balms that are packed with healing qualities and contain no harsh or unnatural ingredients.

We’re taking a very short break but have few more workshops coming up this autumn, so watch this space for more information. We look forward to seeing you then 💚

We had a smashing time last Thursday, building hedgehog houses for our prickly friends 🦔
We had a go at using a variety of power tools and had a brilliant time assembling the timber together 💪

We’ve got a similar workshop in mind for autumn, so if you’d like to practice your power tool skills, look out for future sessions. We’ll be announcing them soon!

Hedgehog houses are brilliant in helping the hogs hibernate in winter and provide a great shelter for them in the cold weather. They are being hit hard by this prolonged hot spell, so if you have hedgehogs in your area, you can give them a helping hand by leaving out a shallow dish of water and some wet cat food. And if you can’t help them in that way, you can support the amazing Keyford Hedgehog Rescue and Rehabilitation by leaving donations so they can continue their vital work in rescuing those charismatic creatures 🦔

Every little helps!
