Latest News;-
Powys County Council have now given the Community Council permission to launch an Online petition to ‘Stop the Rot’ on the former Four Crosses Pub. It is now active and will run from 22 May 2026 to 22 Jun 2026
We need your help to raise the awareness to Powys County Council of how dilapidated the property has become and that it looks an eyesore at the entrance to our Village.
Unfortunately, despite many objections, the property was granted planning permission to convert the former Pub into 3 dwellings in 2019. Permission has now also been granted for 9 dwellings to the rear of the former Pub. We are mindful that the property is a magnet for intruders and presents an arson risk – the Developers have shown no inclination to start the work which has been granted.
The Petition is trying to demonstrate the strength of feeling in the Village that the work should start immediately on this eyesore and the barriers removed.
Powys County Council have a commitment to consider every petition – the aim is for them to issue the Developers with a Completion Notice giving them a limited period to complete the work.
Please Click the link below to view and sign the Online petition and forward on to any other contacts you may have.

The 3 community councils have formed a working group to prepare a business case and you will receive information from them in due course.
