A 249 mile trail between Fort William and Cape Wrath passing through remote wild landscape. Described as Scotland's wildest and longest walking trail. Trail designed to be completed in three, one week sections. To test the more ambitious a number of more challenging 'rib' routes from the 'spine' are now included - adding an additional 40000 feet of ascent to the trail. This version encourages walk

ers to visit and stay in West Highland communities supporting local economies, giving walkers an experience of the folk who live here and allowing for walkers to carry less weight as they can resupply in these communities. The trail was researched in 1995-2000 by people working and playing here
