Evening all,

I've setup a signal group, but not sure people are receiving messages... Wondering if Whatsapp might be better?

So would anyone be up for a walk next Saturday 10th or 17th and a wee coffee/ cake afterwards?

Also wondering if anyone fancies some mulled wine Xmas wreath making next week? :)

Hello! Don’t have an exact idea of who’s supposed to come to tonight - but a few have changed to next week or unable to make this evening now, so I’m thinking I might just hold one meeting next week so we have as many together in one place!

Thank you to everyone who responded to the survey!

Okay, so the votes are in, and it's a 50/50 response for each date...

So how about I spread the initial meetings over two evenings to allow as many to attend as possible?

22nd November: 6.30pm
29th November: 7pm (as a couple have requested later due to work commitments)

If you are happy to lift-share on either night to save on fuel etc, write below, and we can try co-ordinate with one another as best we can :)

I don't know if we'll always have time to do two dates, but I do feel quite strongly getting as many involved at the start, and then working things out from there :D

P.S - would it be possible to get a wee like or comment to let me know if you've seen this post? Would like to avoid spamming the local groups frequently, but they do ensure posts are seen much better! x

Hello all! 👋

Hope you're all well this rather blustery Friday Afternoon!💨

So, it would appear we have ladies interested from Arisaig, Acharacle, Strontian, Kilchoan and everywhere in between! 🥰

For the inital meeting, I'd like to propose meeting in Glenuig Inn on either the 22nd or the 29th of November?
From 6pm to around 7.30pm?

This will just be an informal meeting to get the ball rolling, brainstorm some ideas, and find out some more about everybody and what we would like to see/ do and achieve!

I appreciate everyone is super busy, and this may not suit everyone, but hoping we can get as many together and come up with some ideas to share with everyone, and then come up with a loose plan of activities from there 🙌

So first thing's first... WHERE does everybody live? I'll hopefully find a venue that's as convenient for everybody as I can. However, given the size of the area, we might be best to rotate it as we go.

Hello!

I'm sure a few already know me, but for those who don't I'm Karen from Glenuig, I moved up here a couple of years ago just as we went into our first lockdown, and I must say my transition to Highland life has been pretty lonely much of the time (sorry for the sob story!)

So after having a chat with someone who also moved up around the same time, it got me thinking into social groups setup especially for females my age that isn't the W.I and I remembered this group my mum was part of called the 'Ladies Circle'

I decided to put the feelers out, and find out some more about the group, and whether I thought this could work in our area, and I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised!

At the moment, I am just trying to gauge numbers and where everybody lives, and then try to take things from there....

We'd like to create a group that is inclusive for as many as possible, however the ages for ladies circle members is between 18-45. There are other options though! So if that doesn't apply to you, do drop me a message about other groups related to the LC that may apply to you.

The beauty of the Ladies Circle, is we can make it what we want, all whilst being part of a national organisation, where we will have a lot of help, support, and inspiration to get ourselves moving and hopefully create a fantastic group for all.

The first meeting will hopefully be next month, in a local community hall (or pub!) and just to get an idea what people would like to see and lay some foundations!

Activities can be from anything to scaling the mountains, to going to the theatre, to organising fundraising events to axe throwing if we fancied! It's all about bringing people together, to have some fun, perhaps try something new, and do some good for others too! What's not to like!

So, if you fancy coming along, just like the page and drop me a message if you wanted, and I'll be in touch with an update as soon as I can! Cheers! x

What is Ladies Circle?
We are a group of women aged 18 to 45 from all over the country and all walks of life who want to make new friends and meet new people. With over 80 clubs nationally we follow the principles of fun, friendship and fundraising. No two clubs run in the same way but every single one is waiting to meet you and help you start your circle journey. But if you are over 45 years old you can always join our sister club Tangent Clubs UK.

So many women have experienced things they likely never would have before circle. Whether its Axe throwing, abseiling or an escape room. Attending a ball, raising money for charity.

Ladies Circle has a rich 85 year history and has certainly had to move with the times, but the core message that remains is women want to make new friends, try new things and be an active part of their community.

After the last few years, it is safe to say we've been separated through no fault of our own, and now this is our chance to come together, bond, have a good old fashioned laugh, and create a network of friends like no other.
