Join us for a special evening opening of Nelson's Tower on Saturday, September 26, and enjoy one of the final opportunities to visit the Tower before it closes for the season. Book here: www.ticketsource.com/forres-heritage-trust
Evening openings are rare, and this is a unique chance to experience the spectacular sunset views from the top of the Tower.
We'll also be celebrating the birthday of Admiral Lord Nelson, whose birthday falls on 29 September. This year he would have been 268 years old! To mark the occasion, every visitor will be welcomed with a glass of fizz and a slice of birthday cake, as well as the chance to sample a traditional ship's biscuit and a tot of grog.
There are three sessions, each limited to 8 people:
• 7.00pm
• 7.30pm
• 8.00pm
Early booking is recommended. Come along to raise a glass to Britain's most famous naval hero while enjoying an unforgettable evening at one of Moray's most iconic landmarks

We are delighted that we have permission to make The Annals of Forres by Robert Douglas available for research. Chairman George Alexander and fellow volunteer Ray Mills were delighted to accept two original copies from Douglas’s granddaughter, Susan Monkman. The Forres Gazette article has the full details.

Forres Heritage Trust donated Robert Douglas’s The Annals of Forres by his granddaughters for community research.

The Forres Heritage Trust which looks after two buildings in Forres, the Tolbooth and Nelson's Tower, relies completely on its volunteers to MAKE THINGS HAPPEN.
From running and setting up events, to restoration projects, to meeting and greeting visitors, to securing funding, these buildings would not be available for the public to enjoy. Let's show our appreciation for the FHT volunteers.
