Event No. 21
Well, what a morning!
It started as a bit of a damp squib for our volunteer team, but the showers soon passed and we were able to welcome 179 intrepid parkrunners (and a giraffe) to our little slice of North Wales. Thank you all for joining us today! 👏
Who welcomed you, well that would be our very own Rachel, who was carrying out RD duties for her very 1st time and Nick who carried out the First Timers Briefing, also his very 1st time. To both of you, you both did an exceptional job, we're all so proud and best "nobody got lost". Well done, you're amazing! 💯
We were delighted to welcome tourists from Conwy, Wrexham, Chester, the Wirral, Mold, Telford, Manchester, Lichfield, Leicester, Port Vale, the Lake District and London, to name just a few.
A special shout-out goes to "Dolores the Giraffe and the Sconers from Rochdale, Debbie and Alan plus Blue the Greyhound" (we hope we've got that right!).
We'd also like to mention Aubrey Treloar, who was running a parkrun in South Africa just last week. While we couldn't quite match the temperatures, we hope you loved our course and have recovered well from this morning?
An incredible 93 parkrunners ran or walked our course for the very first time today. Hopefully you enjoyed the estuary setting, the views, and of course the course itself. Don't be strangers, we'd love to see you back again soon!
Congratulations to the 41 parkrunners who achieved a PB today. Fantastic running and walking! 🎉
As it's Volunteers' Week, it goes without saying that a huge thank you must go to our 25 amazing volunteers who helped make today's event happen. Your enthusiasm, dedication and support ensure that parkrun can take place safely and smoothly each week. Quite simply, we couldn't do it without you.❤️
Thank you all for being part of another wonderful parkrun morning.
See you next Saturday! 🏃♂️🏃♀️💙
