In 2018 concerns were raised about the potential misuse of non-molestation orders in family proceedings and their relationship with legal aid. Years later, have the changes made a difference? 🤔

This isn't about suggesting every solicitor or application is improper. It's about asking whether the safeguards are working and whether the system can be misused.

When does accountability begin?

If a parent takes their own life following prolonged family court proceedings, false allegations and a lengthy separation from their child, should questions be asked about the circumstances that led them there?

This isn't about blaming a particular person or suggesting that every tragedy has one cause.

It's about asking whether the family justice system does enough to recognise the profound impact that prolonged proceedings, allegations and separation can have on parents and children.

If warning signs are missed and a vulnerable parent reaches breaking point, should there be greater accountability, safeguards and support?

This is a conversation we need to have — because behind every case number is a family and, most importantly, a child.

When child maintenance becomes a source of unbearable pressure, who is listening?

The Child Maintenance Service exists to make sure children receive financial support — and that principle matters.

But we also need to acknowledge the impact that prolonged disputes, financial pressure and enforcement can have on parents and families.

Supporting children shouldn't mean pushing families further into crisis.

We need a system that protects children's financial security while also recognising the wellbeing of the parents involved.

Don't lose hope 🙏 Don't give up 💪

if you're going through family court, don't lose hope.

There will be difficult days, but there can also be positive ones. Keep focused, stay respectful, present the evidence you have, and never lose sight of why you're there.

Justice For Children CIC was founded to campaign for positive change and to remind families that they are not alone.

No matter how hard the journey feels, don't give up.
