They walk with young men as they leave HMP/YOI Feltham, offering steady, relational support through the challenges of release. A Team With Purpose

Today our Feltham Community Chaplaincy Trust team came together for a workshop — and what a reminder it was of the incredible privilege of working alongside people who genuinely care.

Our work isn't simply about programmes, projects or paperwork. It is about people — listening to them, walking alongside them, offering hope, and sometimes simply being there when life is difficult.

Today was a chance to pause, reflect, learn from one another and look ahead. There was honesty, laughter, challenge, encouragement and, above all, a shared determination to make a difference in our communities.

I came away reminded that great organisations aren't built by policies alone. They are built by people with compassion, commitment and a shared sense of purpose.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy today. What we do matters — and together, we can do even more.

Today we launch something special — FCCT’s new website.
I
t captures the long‑road mentoring we’ve been doing for years: meeting young people before release, walking with them through the gate, and staying with them as they rebuild their lives.

It’s a glimpse into the hope, patience, and persistence that shape every step we take with the young people we serve.

And we’d love you to join us on the long road too — as a supporter, a partner, a referrer, or simply someone who believes every young person deserves a second chance.

As I write this, our long‑time friend Mark is preparing to run the Boston Marathon in the US today, taking on one of the world’s most iconic races to support FCCT — a small community charity that provides long‑term mentoring and through‑the‑gate support for young men leaving Feltham prison, helping them stay out of custody and move toward safer, stronger futures.
