It's LS28 Repair Cafe time again today at Pudsey Community Project! (Fartown, Pudsey LS28 8LP) - Saturday 23rd May2-5pm (remember as always - last entry 4.20pm).
We have a team of general/electrical fixers including offering minor clothes repairs/alterations, lamps, ornaments, garden equipment, electricals, toys, small kitchen appliances etc - if you're unsure if we can fix it, bring it along and let us see! No bike repairs/servicing this month, and please bear with us as we have a slightly smaller team this month with some new volunteer fixers :-)
If you have a faulty item we will try and fix it and if you have the parts then we will fit them for free (but please leave a generous donation so we can keep this event going!).
Please note, all fixers are volunteers and we can make no promises as to whether things can be repaired!
There will be lovely refreshments available while you wait.
Just come along from 2pm.

Thank you to everyone who brought items for fixing to today's Repair Cafe and to all our wonderful fixers!
It was a second quiet month (where were you all - it wasn't THAT sunny!?) but we enjoyed being able to spend time on diagnosing, fixing and chatting with the repair cafe customers. We had 19 items altogether.
Here's a selection of our successful fixes today which included several items of clothing, a hot water bottle, hair straighteners, a toaster, a hair dryer, a chair, a lamp and a beautiful metal bird bath!
Please do put Saturday May 23rd in your diary for the next one and bring your items for us to look at. We look forward to seeing you then!

Early warning that it's the LS28 Repair Cafe this Saturday 2-5pm...!

Thank you to everyone who brought items for fixing to today's Repair Cafe and to all our wonderful fixers!
Here's a selection of our successful fixes today which included clothing, an electric go-kart, a hedge trimmer, hand luggage, a chair, a bike, a tyre inflator, a lamp, sewing machine and sunglasses!
It was a quiet session today with hardly any fixes for our sewing and bike fixers to tackle. Please do put Saturday April 25th in your diary for the next one and bring your items for us to look at.

Great news! It's the LS28 Repair Cafe today at Pudsey Community Project (Fartown, Pudsey LS28 8LP) - Saturday 28th March 2-5pm (remember last entry 4.20pm to ensure we have time to finish fixing by 5pm).
We will have a wonderful team of general/electrical fixers including offering clothes repairs/alterations AND Jake is back offering bike servicing and minor repairs, so do take advantage of the better weather to bring your bikes down for him to look over.
If you have a faulty item we will try and fix it and if you have the parts then we will fit them for free (but please leave a generous donation so we can keep this event going!).

Another fantastic session this weekend at LS28 Repair Cafe @ Pudsey Community Project!
Our fantastic team of volunteer fixers worked solidly for three hours and managed to repair most things that were brought in, including (most pictured): two bikes, a hat, three pairs of trousers, jeans, a handbag and other clothes, several CD/radios, a lamp, carpet washer, metronome, clock, picture frame, doll, soundbar and wooden toy! As you can see, the team are happy to have a go at all sorts of fixes...!
That was 27 successful fixes (and several items that can now be recycled with a clear conscience, knowing they can't be fixed) - and the savings of repair were estimated to be the equivalent CO2 emissions of flying over 4,200 miles!
This week's fixes included items of financial value but also: a beautiful dress worn for a graduation in 2018 and still now usable again; and a doll which is a Christmas tree decoration that has been in use since the 1950s, with huge sentimental family value.
Huge thanks to the amazing team, and to everyone who brought items in. The next session here is March 28th 2-5pm (last entry 4.20pm) - and there's usually plenty of room, so do put it in your diary and tell your friends!

Another fantastic session this afternoon at LS28 Repair Cafe @ Pudsey Community Project! It was a bit quieter, but positive as our fantastic volunteer fixers managed to repair almost everything that came in, including (most pictured): three vacuum cleaners, an electric fan, two stand mixers, two bags, a dress, a lamp, a mirror frame and - a first for us - a large ceramic pig!
Huge thanks to the amazing team, and to everyone who brought items in. The next session here is February 28th 2-5pm - and there's usually plenty of room, so do put it in your diary and tell your friends!
