**Community Callout: Join the Highfield Hall Management Committee**
Highfield Hall Community Association is expanding its Management Committee and we are inviting expressions of interest from individuals who have the time, commitment, and dedication to support the future of our Community Centre.
We welcome people with a wide range of skills — including governance, finance, community engagement, safeguarding, fundraising, facilities management, administration, or general organisational experience. What matters most is reliability, integrity, and a genuine commitment to serving the local community.
As a **registered charity**, Highfield Hall Community Association must operate in full compliance with the **Charities Act 2011** and the regulatory requirements set out by the **Charity Commission**. This includes strict governance, financial controls, safeguarding responsibilities, and ensuring that all decisions are made solely in the best interests of the charity and the community we serve.
# # # **Eligibility Requirements**
To ensure strong governance, independence, and local representation:
- Applicants **must be aged 25 or over**
- Applicants **should live within the Farnworth and Highfield area**, or have a demonstrable local connection
- Applicants **must not be members of any political party or involved in political activity**, to protect the charity’s neutrality
- Applicants **must not have close family with any current Management Committee member**, as this would create a conflict of interest under Charity Commission guidance (CC3 and CC12)
**How to Apply**
If you are interested in joining us, please email **[email protected]** with:
- Your name
- A brief outline of your skills or experience
- Your reasons for wanting to join the committee
- Why you believe you would be a good fit for Highfield Hall
We look forward to hearing from people who share our commitment to strengthening and protecting this vital community resource.
