"I enjoyed being in a space where inclusion is a way of being and not something you 'have to do'"— A Creative Tank participant

This is what we're building at Creative Tank! A space where you get to arrive as you are; your body, your pace, your way of moving through the world - and find a community doing the same.

Three days of making, connecting, and exploring inclusive practice together.

Applications are open now for Creative Tank 2026 (Brighton, 8–10 September), with two bursary spaces available 👉 bit.ly/creative-tank2026

Image Description: A quote from a creative tank participant reads "I enjoyed being in a space where inclusion is a way of being and not something you 'have to do’”. Overlaid on a photo of two hands, one white person reaches and offers their palm, and a Black person places their fingers on top of the other’s palm.

What an amazing week at 🌟🌟

Last week, company dancers and led morning classes at Independent Dance.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us! It was wonderful to meet new dancers, share space, and move together 🪩

Here’s a little glimpse from our final session of the week, where Nadenh and Christian guided improvisation exercises, explored movement translation, and taught a selection of movement phrases ✨

Video Description: A montage of clips from one of Stopgap’s morning classes at Independent Dance in London. Disabled and non-disabled dancers move together throughout a bright, spacious studio with a high, curved wooden ceiling. The video cuts between moments of energetic and playful movement: dancers twirl, jump, reach, slide, and travel across the floor, responding to one another and the space around them. The video concludes with the dancers creating a circle and taking a collective breath, highlighting the end of the session.
