Get to know Park Yoga 💚
It’s almost time for our first EVER Park Yoga Faringdon session, this Sunday at 9:30am! 🥳
Ahead of this, we thought it would be good to answer some FAQs and share a bit more about what Park Yoga is:
1️⃣ What is Park Yoga?
Park Yoga is a charity that provides yoga sessions on Sunday mornings from May to September, across the UK, to improve the health and wellbeing of participants.
2️⃣ What is Park Yoga’s mission?
Our mission is to improve physical and mental wellbeing by introducing the transformative benefits of yoga in nature, fostering joy, connection, and a deep sense of community 🌟
3️⃣ Can I donate to Park Yoga?
Park Yoga will always be free to attend, but we love it if people donate if they're able to as this helps us continue to provide free outdoor yoga in nature to more people in more places. You can donate via our website, or through your instructor after your Park Yoga sessions on Sundays.
4️⃣ Who can come to Park Yoga?
Park Yoga is for everyone, regardless of age, background and ability. We want as many people as possible to be able to experience the benefits!* You don’t even have to participate in the whole session, just take some moments of rest & movement whenever you feel like it.
* If you are under the care of a medical professional, you should discuss with them before attending Park Yoga. The same applies if you are pregnant, or have other specific medical concerns.
5️⃣ Can I bring my children?
Park Yoga is for all the family, however the practice is not children’s yoga. Children under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a parent/carer and near them at all times, as they remain your responsibility.
6️⃣ What do I need to bring?
Bring a yoga mat if you have one, or just a towel/blanket! Make sure to have water and anything you need for comfort, like sun cream. You can wear something that is comfortable to move and stretch in!
7️⃣ If the weather is bad, how do I know if the session is going ahead?
We will post on the page at least 1 hour ahead of start time to cancel a session in case of bad weather. This is also fed through onto the website for those who do not use social media.
