Summer Vibes Loading: We’ve Officially Made It! ☀️

It’s been a fun, busy, and brilliant year! From the magic of Santa’s visit and our Giant Chocolate Egg to the excitement of our Quiz Night and first Boogie Bingo, we’ve loved every moment. We also had a fantastic time at the Summer Fair and joining you for Sports Day, all while raising smiles, school spirit, and serious funds.

What a Summer Fair! 🌞

A HUGE shoutout to everyone who came to the Friends of Redlands Summer Fair! 🎉 The energy was absolutely off the charts! Inflatables? Bounced to the max. Penalty shoot-out? Conquered. ⚽ From raiding the Lucky Dip and Tombola to battling it out at the garden games, the action didn't stop for a single second! It was also fantastic to see the amazing Redlands families running their own stalls!

We tried a few new things this year, too! How brilliant were our special guests: the (truly) melting Olaf, incredible Stitch, and the amazing Toy Story Jessie? 🤩 We were also treated to outstanding performances from our great school band, the school choir, the amazing Upstage Theatre, and the loved-by-everyone Crazy M!

A huge round of applause to our main sponsor, Bernards Estate Agents 🏡, for their continued support - and to the wonderful families who proudly hosted a Summer Fair board in their front gardens. You really helped us spread the word far and wide!

Now, we really need to talk about our amazing Volunteers. Just a few short weeks ago, we were genuinely worried we might have to cancel the fair. But when we asked for help, the response from our school parents was absolutely incredible! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ You stepped up to save the day alongside our wonderful Teachers, the unstoppable School Office Team, Miss Levy and Headteacher Mrs Lisa Ainsworth. To everyone who gave up their time: we couldn't have done it without you!

Behind the fun? Months of sneaky prep, endless emails 📧, some seriously good teamwork (and maybe a few caffeine-fueled panic moments ☕)!
Exhausted, jittery, and swearing “never again”? For sure!
Plotting the next big thing? Heck yes, YES!

P.S. If your kiddo left sparkly ✨, stuffed, and smiling, then we nailed it! 💛

We’re getting ready for our Summer Fair on Friday 3rd July and would be very grateful for your support!

🎉 What a fantastic Sports Day! 🎉

Despite the weather trying its best to remind us that we’re still in Britain, today turned out to be a wonderful community event and a great celebration of everything that makes Redlands so special.

A huge thank you to the school, all the teachers and, of course, all the children for the energy, enthusiasm and effort that went into making the day such a success.

A big thank you also to Chipperfield's Coffee for keeping parents warm throughout the day. We saw (and heard!) just how much you enjoyed having the coffee van on site - and we have to say, we loved it too! ☕❤️

Thank you to everyone who supported Friends of Redlands by taking part in our Sports Day Raffle, and to Bernards Estate Agents for kindly donating the £50 Flip Out Portsmouth voucher.

🎟️ The winning raffle ticket is Yellow Ticket Number 22! Congratulations! Please collect your prize from the School Office.

☀️ Sports Day is tomorrow! ☀️

We’re really looking forward to Sports Day tomorrow - hoping for sunshine, happy children, and just enough coffee to keep everyone going ☕😄

A reminder that Chipperfield’s Coffee Van will be on site throughout the day from morning drop-off until the end ☕ (a portion of proceeds will support Friends of Redlands).

We’ll also be running a Sports Day Raffle with tickets at £1 each, so please bring cash if you’d like to take part. 🎟️ A huge thank you again to Bernards Estate Agents for kindly donating a £50 Flip Out Portsmouth voucher as the prize.

2️⃣ You’re pretty sure you bought it - quick inbox scroll and you’ll find the confirmation 📩 ✔️ all sorted

3️⃣ You were sure you did… but no confirmation email anywhere - please message/email us and we’ll happily double check for you, trust us this helps avoid any “I was absolutely certain I bought one!” mysteries later — we’ve seen one too many like this 🫣

Just a quick reminder that ticket sales for the Friends of Redlands School Disco close tomorrow (Thursday 14th May) at midnight 🚨

📍 Thursday 21st May - School Hall
🎟️ £3.50 per child (includes entry, drink & snack)

We won’t be able to accept any late orders after the deadline.

And a little tip from experience… if your child is currently unsure about coming, there’s a strong chance that will change to “EVERYONE else is going!” closer to the day. To avoid last-minute disappointment, we’d strongly recommend buying a ticket anyway.
