🌎 Climate Writing Masterclass with Natalie Hart 🌎
Wed 11 Feb 2026 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
The Writers' Block, TR15 2QE
This workshop is for writers of all genres who want to explore climate and ocean themes without being overwhelmed by them. Whether you write fiction, memoir, poetry or something else entirely, this session will help you discover your unique entry point into climate writing.
We'll move from anxiety to agency, exploring how writers and artists can respond meaningfully to our time of crisis. Through discussion, freewriting, and creative exercises, we’ll explore how climate writing isn't just dystopian fiction and doom-laden warnings. It can take as many forms as there are writers.
This masterclass is for writers of any genre curious about bringing climate and ocean themes into their work. Bring a notebook, a pen, and an open mind. No previous experience with climate writing is needed, just a willingness to experiment and think creatively about what's possible.
Natalie Hart is a writer and strategic communications specialist based in Cornwall. Her debut novel Pieces of Me (Legend Press, 2018) was shortlisted for the Costa First Novel Award. She has spoken at UN Climate COPs, UN Ocean Conferences and other international forums on the power of storytelling and communication to address the world’s most complex problems
