Syleham and Wingfield sports and social club A place to gather socially with family and friends to enjoy a variety of entertainment which includes bingo, open mic nights, quizzes, social evenings and more

A local village Sports and Social club here you can meet with family and friends. The bar is open every Tuesday and Friday from 8pm. Bingo on the last Friday of every month. The hall is also available for private hire. Come along and join us to see what its all about. Events will be posted on the page so keep checking back to see whats going on.

It Comes In Waves is coming soon, and we would love you to join us.

Set in a grief cafe in Lowestoft, where people come together over tea, biscuits and brutally honest conversation to talk about the people they have lost, this new comedy drama finds humour, warmth and hope in the messiness of grief.

Written by local writer James McDermott (EastEnders, Rubber Ring, Time & Tide) and inspired by his own experiences of bereavement after losing his father during the pandemic, It Comes In Waves is a funny, tender and big hearted story about loss, laughter, community and how we help each other stay afloat when life hits hard.

Come and see a coastal comedy drama that laughs in the face of loss, and reminds us we do not have to weather the waves alone.

Sat 23rd May Winnie the Pooh tea party event, 1 – 4pm, J’s Meadow, entrance opposite the Village Hall down the drive. Cakes, raffle, refreshments by donation to EACH, bar, games, races, crafts, bee keeping equipment. Extra parking available

Thurs 28th May - Coffee, Craft, Chat, 1.30-3pm. All welcome, Free, optional donation.

A couple of musical diary dates

This Friday is our monthly open mic session...come and listen to some great music and enjoy a drink from the bar. Feel free to bring an instrument and join in or just sing along.

We are excited to have some live music in the afternoon too! Come along on Wednesday the 10th of June to see The Strummers, ukuleles a-plenty 😊 Doors open 1.30pm - with music from 2 'til 4pm, including a break.

Free entry, donations to Dementia UK

If you're looking for a fantastic plumber I thoroughly recommend Alfie Clow on 07984699352 or [email protected]. Alfie is efficient, considerate, courteous and very tidy. I had a problem with my hot water which was quickly diagnosed and fixed with very little upheaval. I rang several plumbers who said they couldn't come out to me for weeks yet Alfie made an effort to get to me the next day which was greatly appreciated.
