Beat Kidney Stones promotes and protects the health of sufferers of kidney stones through the provision of financial assistance, support, education and practical advice and to advance knowledge in all areas relating to kidney stones by funding research into kidney stones. The inspiration for starting this charity was Margaret who passed 47 kidney stones in 29 years. Even after being diagnosed with terminal cancer Margaret still had a last kidney stone to pass.

To help employers appreciate the situation of kidney stone sufferers. There is no measure of pain or indication of the start of pain for a kidney stone sufferer. The only guide available is, the pain experienced will probably cause your employee to lose consciousness. Would you want your employee to pass out at work or travelling to work?
