The Roseland Camping Weekend
The Roseland peninsula did not fail to impress this hardy bunch of Wild Wanderers. We were blessed with fantastic weather, a wonderful campsite, an outstanding hike and bucket loads of Bonhomme.
There was just one mishap which will become part of Wild Wanders legend and involved an exploding gas canister, the Truro fire brigade, an ambulance and a smouldering tent.
The rain which inevitably arrived did little to dampen the mood although a few campers did break camp early to avoid the deluge.
Saturday night’s entertainment involved a cracking music quiz which was dominated by music aficionados Paul and Chris whose knowledge of music from the 60s to the present day was quite impressive.
The group are now looking forward to our next adventure and the good news is that I will be reconnoitring a new site on the Lizard for a second weekend away in June.
