The Valley, Evesham, have very kindly installed one of our information boards showing a number of walks in the Evesham area. We celebrated this by walking one of our circular walks from Evesham Town centre to The Valley where refreshments were enjoyed before heading back to Evesham.
We were joined on the walk by Yuko Shioli, a Professor from Hannan University who is visiting the UK studying various aspects of walking in Walkers are Welcome towns. We were also joined by Helen from Chepstow Walkers are Welcome who is hosting Yuko's visit.
Many thanks to Phil and the team at The Valley for installing the information board and supporting Evesham Welcomes Walkers.

We attended the fabulous Evesham Medieval Market at the weekend. It was fantastic opportunity to show locals and visitors all the brilliant walks and walking events we have in the Vale of Evesham. If you have decided to join one of the local walking groups we look forward to getting to know you or else just enjoy our beautiful local countryside. We hope we have demonstrated that Evesham really does Welcome Walkers.

On Thursday four members of Evesham Welcomes Walkers took part in the Wye Valley and Cleddon Falls walk on the Chepstow Walking Festival. Starting at Tintern Old Station, Our leaders, Judith and Alan, led us along the River Wye following the Offa’s D**e path before stopping for lunch outside the Church of St Oudoceus at Llandogo. This Church really does Welcome Walkers as it has a kitchen and toilets which are free for visitors to use. Whilst having lunch Judith and Alan regaled us with stories of bread being transported to the top of the hill on the backs of donkeys and mill stones being rolled down the hill. After joining the Wye Valley Walk we had beautiful views all the way back to Tintern. A fantastic walk from a fantastic Walkers are Welcome town. Thank you, Judith and Alan. We look forward to returning to the area with a larger group very soon.
