Morning Waysider youths!

Tomorrow is meet up day!
We are meeting 3 - 5pm at Wayside farm shop's cider shed. £5 per family to come and there will be the tuck shop open for goodies. Nothing healthy I'm afraid!!😁

To help me make a vague plan numbers wise it would be great if you could send me a little message if you can make it. Don't worry though you can just turn up if you want to without letting me know - it just helps give me a bit of an idea rather than exact numbers.

We will have some Christmas music on, decoration making, hot chocolates and lovely chats. It will be a nice calm way to spend a couple of hours away from the Christmas chaos and stresses.

My AuDHD daughter said to me earlier 'its just so stressful waiting for it - I just want it done now!!' and I'm sure some of your young people (and maybe you!!) are having similar feelings - equal amounts of excitement and anxiety rolled into one making the whole thing a lot to deal with!

As previously discussed last meet.

No meet up today!

We are getting together on the 15th instead for some lovely Christmas crafts and fun. We have made it closer to Christmas to help those who struggle with understanding the wait for Christmas and the constant hope that it could be tomorrow (I had one of these!)!!

Hope you are all starting to get that lovely Christmassy feeling without too much overwhelm!! 😬

We are excited to see you all on the 15th.

Hello Waysider youths!
Today is meet up day!!
We will be here 3-5pm up at The cider shed at Wayside farm shop.

We are a group for children with learning disabilities and their families to come and relax, be yourself and parents hopefully to get some support from other parents who may be struggling or just need someone's ear to chew off for a couple of hours whilst the children play.

We ask for £5 per family to attend which goes towards buying items for the future groups only.

You can also bring a little loose change for the tuck shop which sells drinks, crisps, chocolate and sweets (nothing healthy to see here I'm afraid!!) all for around 20 - 50p.

Me and Alice will be there and also hopefully our other wonderful volunteer Karen who is another friendly face to make you feel welcome.

Today it will feel autumnal at the shed. Leaf pictures, making foamy potions and we will probably even light a little fire if we get the time to toast marshmallows. One of my favourite things to do now it's getting dark earlier.

Hello Waysider Youths!!!

WE ARE BACK!!

After a little break whilst I got my life in order slightly 😂 we are back on and meeting this Sunday as planned the 6th October. For any newcomers we meet 3 - 5pm at Wayside farm shop's Cider Shed in Wickhamford - it is £5 per family. We also have a little tuck shop so bring some loose change for that if you can - most things are 20p-50p.

We are planning on some autumnal and Halloweeny crafts to get us in a cosy Autumn mood. We may well need to light the fire as it is a tad chilly now which will add to a lovely cosy feeling and I am going to get some hot chocolate on the go with cream, marshmallows and sprinkles to choose from for the topping.

It may be a bit soggy under foot after all this rain we are having so please bring wellies if you have them and a coat so we can get outside to play some games and see the alpacas who have been missing you all I am sure!!

We are so excited to see you all and if you are new, we are very much looking forward to meeting you!

Hello lovely Waysider youths!!
I have to say a big sorry but I am yet again going to have to rearrange tomorrow's youth group last minute.

I hadn't realised that tom had planned a big maintenance day up at the shed where we hold the youth group and so it will not be safe for us to be up there and there will be a lot of workers up there getting in our way!! Clearly me and tom need to talk to each other more!!

I am hoping for next week but I have only just found out we can't do it tomorrow so bear with me whilst I make a plan.
