Epsom & Ewell Foodbank

Epsom & Ewell Foodbank Epsom & Ewell Foodbank gives emergency food to local people in crisis. The vouchers are issued by agencies and each client can receive 3 vouchers per crisis.

Since we opened in October 2012 we have fed more than 55,000 people, distributed many thousands of tonnes of food and trained more than 250 volunteers who generate roughly 200 hours of volunteering a week. Each client is given 3 days’ worth of food and toiletries for their whole household via a voucher system. We run 5 distribution centres: on Tuesdays in Tadworth, on Wednesdays in Ewell, Thursday

s in Banstead, Fridays in Epsom and on Saturdays in Leatherhead. Demand has grown immensely in the past 12 months and we are now feeding around 350 people every week. We don't just give people food. We offer a wraparound support service including signposting to other agencies, help with school uniform costs, winter fuel support, counselling, budgeting advice, help with form-filling and much more. We are part of the Trussell Trust http://www.trusselltrust.org/ network of foodbanks. Trussell Trust supports a network of more than 1,400 foodbank centres. We need 3 things to keep us going; food, volunteers and financial donations. If you could support us in any way from a monetary gift, food donation or anything else please email us [email protected] or visit our website http://epsomewell.foodbank.org.uk. We are now part of registered charity number 1197493, Good Company (Surrey). Many thanks
