On July 7th the Carnival Committee met at The Ship, Soham to hold their Beneficiary evening. Here is the full list of charities and organisations who all received donations.

Last night the committee met at the Ship along with our beneficiaries. We handed out just over £6000 in donations to over 20 local charities.
Thank you so much for all your hard work you all do within Soham. And thank you to everyone who donated money on the day of the carnival. Without you local groups and charities wouldn't be able to provide the wonderful work they do.

We are thrilled to share the band line-up for our upcoming Beer and Music Festival.

This year we are also excited to share that we will also have the The Little Mobile Bar Company with their Gin and Prosecco horse box throughout the festival.

We now just 2 weeks away from our Beer and Music Festival. We've listened ....

- we have an AMAZING range of beers and ciders
- we have an AMAZING line-up of bands
- we have a small selection of rides for younger children (less than 10 yrs)
- we have a face painter (saturday)
- we have beers and ciders available as usual
- we have cold lager
- we have the lovely Alison from Gin & Prosecco serving a range of other drinks.
- we have soft drinks
- we will have alcohol free beer (limited supply)
- we are re-looking at our selection of wines (red, white and rose)
- we have the greek van food which was highly popular in previous years
- we have The Forge serving a range of loaded fries
- we have Herbies Food van serving burgers of your choice.

what we cannot change :
- we can only make this event viable by charging entry. every year our costs increase from year to year. We are a charity raising money for local charities. 100% of monies raised (after costs remove) goes to local charities.
- the fencing remains in place this year due to our alcohol and events license (sorry!).

The weather forecast at the moment is looking ideal at mid 20's C and no rain (subject to change beyond our control!). Let's make this the best ever for soham and the most money raised going to local charities.

What would you like to see next year at the carnival? We have a few ideas but would like to hear what you want.
We are thinking, petting zoo, foam party for the children, wrestling matches, face painting, stilt walkers, circus acts... What else can we add?

Soham Carnival & Heavy Horse Show is a great, family day out, taking place annually on Soham Recreation ground. Having exciting performances, stalls, a fair, food, drink & music, this community event is always popular, & a fantastic, local charity fundraiser.
