During Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re proud to highlight the impact a Bank of Scotland Foundation grant is having through our support of Western Isles Association for Mental Health (WIAMH) 💙
Thanks to an unrestricted Energise grant, WIAMH can continue providing safe, welcoming, community based support for people with lived experience of mental health challenges.
Rebecca Mahony, WIAMH’s Project Manager, shared:
“Our Catch 23 service has grown and flourished from very humble beginnings, and we remain a grass roots, community based, service user led organisation supporting anyone aged 16+ with lived experience of mental health issues. Since the pandemic, demand for our services has increased significantly, while securing sufficient funding has become increasingly challenging.
The two year Bank of Scotland Foundation Energise Grant has been a huge boost for WIAMH, particularly because it is unrestricted. This flexibility gives us the autonomy to direct funding where it is needed most, helping us retain our skilled and experienced staff and continue delivering a wide range of community based activities that support positive mental health and wellbeing.”
We’re proud to stand alongside WIAMH in building brighter futures across our communities.
