Back to earth with a bump 😢. International Drive, loads of families out with Disney Merch up to w***o. Came to a crossing to find a lovely lady & her partner sitting in camp chairs, their whole lives in a shopping cart next to them. Sadly some clear drug & mental health issues. I sang with her ("What's New P***y Cat"), danced with her and told her she looked fabulous. Her response? "I love your dress! Thank you for being kind. Stay safe" 😭. Many, many folk walked passed them having spent hundreds on Mickey ears, fast passes & park food. Orlando is a "Dreams Come True" place, and it absolutely shatters me to see beautiful souls ignored, with nothing, up against so much magic. I know I can't save everyone.....but I don't think I'll ever stop trying xx

Friendship & trust is......being 4,000 miles away.....and knowing that thanks to your awesome volunteers, your guests are still being looked after ❤️. It took time for me to be able to let go and know that I can have a break and The Wee Hours will still run like clockwork. The Wee Hours team are not just volunteers, we are all friends with the same goals, the same values and the biggest hearts. Thanks to my wonderful brother, Ross Ewing, the scones have been replaced with huge boxes of Walkers Crisps as a treat for our guests and I'm delighted to say that the Friday night and Sunday services will absolutely be running as usual. The biggest problem I have.....is FOMO 🤣! If you are out tonight, you know where they'll be!! Xx

After last Sunday's scaled down service, normal breakfast service is back this morning 🙌! But....for added fun, this morning, we are going to play "Left "Wee Gaz" In The Unit, Will We Get Soaked?" On the way to rehearsals tonight, bumped into Paul, one if our guests who we haven't seen for months. He got upset because he's hooked on he**in again and lost everything 😢. Gave him the biggest hug and we'll drop stuff into him (he's sleeping in an alleyway). On my way home now and just picked up another guest, Stewart, off the pavement on Princes Street. He's wasted. Couldn't stand, lost a shoe, trying to put his cap on his foot 😢. People were avoiding him by miles while he shouted "someone, anyone, please help me". Got his shoe on, up on his feet and he's away for food. The Wee Hours sees the person, not the drink, not the drugs, we see the person, the one in need, crying for help. Care, compassion & kindness. Please, see the person. Xx

Due to some running thing on today 😀, we can't get Wee Bee anywhere near the centre of town, let alone Waverley Bridge. Does that mean breakfast is off for our guests?! Of course not!! "Mother Mary Plimer" is bringing bags, fabulous Pam Wood is bringing juices and thanks again to The Royal Yacht BRITANNIA guys, Im bringing more scones than you can shake a stick at!! Also being on Waverley Bridge gives us the prime spot for seeing the first of our incredible friends from Polwarth Praggis (Phil 😀) running passed us in the marathon!! Please cheer the guys on if you see them!! Go for gold gents!!! Xx

What an amazing evening! Tonight we met such a lovely couple from USA who serve like we do. It was a joy to speak to them & connect with those who serve our homeless around the world ❤️. One of our former guests has turned his life around completely and now volunteers with us. Today he disappeared for a while.....and came back with 20 burgers that he handed out to our guests ❤️. He'd bought them to help us as we'd helped him. We are so, so proud of him. What an incredible evening! Im so, so grateful and blessed to be doing what we do ❤️. Xx
