A great opportunity from a fantastic charity. Please share far and wide.
Whatβs your big idea?
Applications are now being taken for the scholarship fund set up in memory of MND campaigner, Gordon Aikman.
The Gordon Aikman Scholarship is worth Β£50,000; with the Scottish Government providing Β£25,000 and MND Scotland matching this funding.
The fund allows people living with MND, and their carers, to apply with practical ideas for research and development, informed by their own experience of living with the condition.
Could it be an idea for a new kind of mobility product, to help somebody with MND live a more normal life? Could it be investigating a new way of helping somebody with MND communicate? How about developing exercises that keep someone mobile for longer, or identifying what is key to keeping carers fit, healthy and happy?
If you have MND, or if you care for somebody who does, weβre keen to hear your ideas of how we can use this money to improve the lives of people with MND.
Successful applicants will work with MND Scotland, and a committed team of researchers, and could help make their idea take shape and come to life.
If you wish to apply, you must contact MND Scotland with your idea before the end of the month. We will then work with you to submit your formal application.
If you are an individual who wishes to apply, you will require the endorsement of MND Scotland. Please contact [email protected] with your proposals.
