We’ve had a brilliant training session on Hate Crime and Prejudiced Based Behaviours at YouthLink Scotland today in partnership with Education Scotland.

A huge thank you to all our participants who had such far ranging experiences and are all doing amazing youth work in their communities! You were all so engaged and we really appreciated your contributions.

Help shape the future for LGBTQ+ people in Scotland!

LGBT Youth Scotland is undertaking research to find out what life in Scotland is like for LGBTQ+ young people. The evidence will help:
⚖️ Show decision-makers what LGBTQ+ young people in Scotland need right now.
🔍 Identify where support, services and policy change are most needed.
🪙 Strengthen funding applications for services that support LGBTQ+ young people.

Our National Education Competition is open for entries!

This year's theme is Identity. We're asking young people in Scotland S1-S6 to explore what identity means to them, and how we remember and respond to the Srebrenica genocide today.

The competition could fit into a range of subjects, including Art, English, RMPS, social subjects or Media.

It's Youth Mental Health Day 🧠

During YouthLink Scotland's Hate Crime Strategy Lived Experience Consultation in 2022, young people identified poor mental health as an effect on both the person causing harm, and the person experiencing harm, during a hate crime.

This , take a moment to think about how to into someone that prioritises their mental health, and respects and cares for others. Let's build a world where hate crime is a thing of the past 🧡
