Bardzo dużo wnosimy do lokalnych społeczności w Wielkiej Brytanii. Jednocześnie uważam, że powinniśmy budować silniejszą reprezentację i bardziej skuteczne polskie lobby. W Izbie Gmin i Izbie Lordów wciąż mamy bardzo niewielu przedstawicieli polskiego pochodzenia, mimo że polska społeczność jest dziś tak ważną częścią brytyjskiego społeczeństwa – mówi Ewa Grosman, współzałożycielka i dyrektorka Centre for Democracy and Peace Building i doradczyni Lorda Alderdice’a w Izbie Lordów.

Memories from the wonderful concert at the Polish House in Edinburgh, hosted by the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Edinburgh, Mr Mirostaw Sycz, and organised in gratitude to Professor Richard Demarco.

The evening featured the Chamber Orchestra of the University of the National Education Commission in Kraków, conducted by Małgorzata Tęczyńska-Kęska, with a programme including works by Feliks Janiewicz, Mieczysław Karłowicz, Tadeusz Baird, Wojciech Kilar and Gregorz Gerwazy Gorczycki.

A particularly special element of the evening was the use of Feliks Janiewicz's original piano.
