We have an exciting new opportunity to help shape the profile, voice and growth of one of Scotland’s best-loved, national gardening charities as we look ahead to our centenary in 2031.

As Marketing & Communications Manager, you will play a central role in growing awareness of Scotland’s Gardens Scheme, attracting new audiences and visitors, strengthening our brand and helping to generate income for the charity.

Closing Date for applications is Sunday 11th October 2026. We may appoint before the closing date if we find the right candidate, so we encourage you to apply early.

Here’s a lovely message from Fay at Pond Cottage garden after a couple of events held:-

“A huge thank you to everyone who came to our Midsummer Melody fundraising events at Pond Cottage. The weather wasn’t always as kind as we hoped but you helped to bring out the sunshine and made both evening and afternoon events a lovely warm-hearted celebration of the work of CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland).

Together, so far, we have raised more than £1,000 for CHAS and there’s more to come from generous donors who weren’t able to join us in person.

We were very moved by the help and support of people who came from near and far. Thank you to many willing helpers. And a special thank you to violinist Ola Stanton who provided beautiful melodies at both events and guitarist Stuart Williamson who also joined as at the afternoon tea (the forecast was so bad we moved indoors then the sun came out).

Ola and Stuart are members of the band Celtic Spirit who will be hosting a charity music night in aid of CHAS at Dollar on 4th October”.

Pond Cottage Garden is open through Scotland’s Gardens Scheme for most of the year.

Pond Cottage Garden, Milnathort until 15th December
