Registered charity in Scotland number SCO46500. Wave Project Scotland was established in 2014 to deliver surf therapy to young people in Scotland. Since its inception the project has helped to transform the lives of over 500 young people and their families across Scotland, helping them to improve their wellbeing and life skills, make new friends and find new purpose in their lives. Young people are referred to the project by professionals working in different services (such as local health and social services) and the focus is on improving confidence, reducing anxiety and developing positive relationships. Wave Project Scotland now provides a regular, free surf therapy service available for young people in East Lothian and Edinburgh, and surrounding areas.

Hi all! 👋🌊

We’re looking for new volunteers to join our amazing team and help The Wave Project Dunbar continue the life changing work we’ve been providing in Dunbar and the surrounding areas for the last 12 years. ❤️

Whether you’re a surfer or have never surfed before, it doesn’t matter! 🏄‍♂️
If you love the beach and are keen to make a real difference in a young person’s life, we’d love to hear from you.

As an opportunity to find out more, we’re hosting an in-person water induction this Wednesday at 5pm. This is a great chance to meet the team, get some hands-on training and see what volunteering with us is all about.

A huge The Wave Project Scotland Good Luck to our amazing volunteer Elena who is running the Scottish half marathon for us this Sunday, the 16th August.

Elena has been a very regular volunteer with us in Scotland for over two years. She is always so kind, gentle and fun, our surfers love to be paired with her!

Now she is pounding the streets in preparation for her race on Sunday too! We are so lucky to have her as part of our crew.
