A huge shout out to our lovely friends at Kidzcare Grange Loan Nursery 🌟

This wonderful nursery has truly embraced fundraising for our charity over the last few years, and their continued support means so much to the families we care for.

We were delighted to welcome Linda and Chloe, Nursery Deputies, who took time out of their day to visit the House, tour our facilities and place their token on our Giving Tree.

“Kidzcare Grange Loan continue to support Ronald McDonald House and we have loved seeing how all of our donations are put to use by Jane and the team. Our visits make us want to keep doing more and help the many families receiving care and support.”

It has been so lovely to see the creative ways the staff, children and parents and carers have supported us over the years. Your enthusiasm and generosity make such a huge difference!

We were absolutely delighted to welcome our friends from Estar Restaurants, who travelled all the way from Glasgow to visit our House.

During their visit, they went above and beyond to support us. From brightening up the kitchen and corridors to helping with laundry, preparing fresh bedding, and tidying the playroom and lounge, they made a real difference.

We’re also incredibly grateful for the generous donations they brought with them. From a fantastic supply of toiletries to plenty of chocolate eggs, their kindness was truly appreciated.

The coffee cups and syrups have been such a lovely addition too, giving families the chance to enjoy a comforting drink in the day room or take one over to the ward while spending precious time with their child.

We were delighted to welcome our friends from Estar Restaurants, who travelled from Glasgow to visit our House.

Their thoughtful touches, including the coffee cups and syrups, have already made a difference, giving families a small moment of comfort during their day. The surprise cakes for the House team were also greatly appreciated.

During their visit, the team went above and beyond, getting involved across the House. From brightening shared spaces to supporting with laundry, preparing fresh bedding and tidying key areas, their time and effort made a real difference.

We are incredibly grateful for their kindness and ongoing support 🌟

We’re delighted to introduce the newest member of our Edinburgh House team, Denise, our new Housekeeper.

Denise brings a wonderful blend of warmth, experience and genuine care, along with a real passion for supporting families during their stay. From the moment she joined us, she has brought a bright, positive energy to the House.

She has already been busy settling in, getting to know the team and helping to make sure our families feel comfortable, supported and cared for every step of the way. We couldn’t be happier to have her with us.

We were so grateful for such a warm welcome, and to Club President Elaine for inviting Jane, our Community Fundraiser, to come along and share a presentation about our charity. 💛

It was a lovely afternoon spent chatting with everyone and learning more about the incredible work you do in your community. The celebrations for members’ birthdays, with songs, cake and candles, made it feel even more special.

Jane was also treated to a delicious meal at the Ravelston House Hotel in Musselburgh. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality. We’re really looking forward to welcoming some of you to our House soon for a tour and continuing this connection.

Last month, after a 56‑day stay at our Edinburgh House, we said goodbye to the wonderful Sharkey family 💙

We first met Amy and Jack last year while they were supporting their twins in the Neonatal Unit, when we were able to help with washing through a day pass. In February, when little Orla needed surgery and was transferred to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People, we were so glad to welcome them back and offer a safe place to stay.

Amy shared, “Edinburgh House had a massive impact on us. We are very grateful that we could stay so close while Orla was getting surgery and recovering. It felt like a home from home, and all the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly.”

Watching them leave to spend their very first night together as a family of four was such a special moment. We wish them all the happiness as they begin this next chapter. 💛

We would like to thank Arran View restaurants franchisee, Alistair Reid, for renewing their sponsorship of the Arran bedroom. It was a pleasure to welcome supervisor Nicolle, People Manager Angela, and members of their fantastic team to the House to see the impact of their fundraising and continued support.

They were quick to get involved, helping to scrub our kitchens, prepare two bedrooms for incoming families, and support with the laundry. Their energy and kindness made a real difference.

Thank you for everything you do for us. Your generosity brings comfort, care, and joy to families when they need it most 💛

We’re so excited to share ‘I’m Gonna Be (79 Miles)’ with you! 🎶
Made in in collaboration with McDonald's and Pixie Lott , this new version represents the average 79 miles parents and carers travel to be by their child’s side in hospital. Every mile tells a story of love, strength and determination.
All proceeds from the track will go directly to Ronald McDonald House UK and Ronald McDonald House Ireland to help more families stay close to their child in hospital.
