This World Ocean Day, stand up for Scotland's seabirds.

The Berwick Bank windfarm threatens to wipe out significant numbers of seabirds including guillemots, puffins, gannets and razorbills.

With a new Scottish Parliament settling into Holyrood, there is an important opportunity to speak out for seabirds.

The island of Eigg is a haven for wildlife. Join the Isle of Eigg Ranger on one of our guided walks, running throughout the summer until the end of August.

On Mondays you can discover the shore near Galmisdale on a Seashore Trail guided walk or, if you are feeling more adventurous, on Wednesdays you can take a walk on the wild side (weekly except the last Wednesday of the month) or discover the West coast (last Wednesday of the month).

See our upcoming Eigg events here:

Following weeks of crossed fingers and bated breath, we’re delighted that the first osprey chick of the season has hatched at Loch of the Lowes Visitor Centre and Wildlife Reserve.

This is the first new chick on the reserve since 2023 and the first for new pairing Blue 210 and LM24, although Blue 210 has previously bred elsewhere in Perthshire.

The egg hatched at 4:30am this morning and the second egg looks like it might not be far behind. Read the full story on our website or watch the action as it happens on our live cameras 👇

We’ve been waiting over a decade for The Scottish Government to introduce much-needed protections for our seas. And until these protections are in place, our precious marine ecosystems and the wildlife they support are in danger of being destroyed.

We cannot afford to wait any longer. Click the link below to email your MSPs and demand action for Marine Protected Areas within the first 100 days of the new parliament.
